McDowell Moutain Preserve, located just northeast of Scottsdale, Arizona, is a beautiful desert landscape with rugged mountains, valleys, and unique rock formations.
Tom's Thumb trail off of Wind Gate Pass Trail and East End Trail are a couple of my favorites. The expansive plateau to the east of East End and Windgate Pass has some gorgeous scenery and definitely worth exploring.
